OPEN CALL TO ARTISTS

“We Believe”

To raise funds and awareness for The Retreat

April 13 – May 19, 2019

Opening reception:  Saturday, April 13; 6-8pm

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:

• Submit images via email to both art@rjdgallery.com AND vanessa@theretreatinc.org.  Label submission photos as follows: Last name, first name, title, size, medium, year of creation and retail price.  Please include CV, bio and artist statement with your images.  Make your payment here.
• Submission deadline:  Friday, March 1, 2019.
• Submission fee:  $50 per image entered, up to 5 per artist. (100% of your fee will be donated directly to The Retreat).  Enter and pay online
• Works will be on display in the gallery and online at Artsy and Artnet through Sunday, May 19.
• Please no video art or substitutions of chosen work.
• All works must be original creations by the artist and be available for purchase for the duration of the exhibition.
• Artists are responsible for roundtrip shipping costs.

• Don’t forget to also submit your images and CV, bio, and artist statement to both art@rjdgallery.com and vanessa@theretreatinc.org. 
• Chosen works will be announced via email on March 8, 2019.

GUIDELINES FOR WORKS SELECTED:

• All selected work must be received at The Retreat on or before March 29.  Later works will not be accepted.
• Accepted works cannot be substituted and are committed through May 19.
• Artist allows the Gallery the right to reproduce their work for marketing of this event and requests 300 dpi images of chosen works.
• Artist agrees to allow the Gallery to negotiate up to 10% maximum to achieve a sale on our mutual behalf.  If the work is sold, the Gallery is committed to donating 25% of the proceeds to The Retreat and the artist will receive 50% of the sale price (or can donate a portion of their proceeds to The Retreat).
• Artist will be responsible for round trip shipping of their artwork, insurance while in transit, and must provide a pre-paid return shipping label with their artwork.
• Works must be wrapped and boxed – no peanuts please. Work will be returned in original packaging or can be picked up from The Retreat.
• All works must arrive in ready to hang condition.
