Submit your best artwork to compete for a solo exhibit at an East End art gallery… AND to help out a great cause!
The Retreat, an organization dedicated to providing residential shelter and comprehensive services to the children and women victims of domestic violence, has begun their 2nd Annual JURIED ART COMPETITION & SHOW. The show is open to ALL ARTISTS (Media: oil, acrylic, watercolor, mixed-media, graphics, drawing, photography, and sculpture. NO video art) and cannot be larger than 24 x 36 inches. Entry fee is $50 per entry, limit 3 entries ($50 for 1 entry, $100 for 2, and $150 for 3). All entry fees go directly to the Retreat (and are non-refundable).

This year the jurors will be Max Fishko, Gallery Director of Art Hamptons and The San Francisco Fine Art Fair and Christina Strassfield, Museum Director and Chief Curator of Guild Hall.

The top 25 entries will get to participate in a group show opening on 5/1/2010, and the best in show will get their own ONE person show at Richard J. Demato Fine Arts Gallery. Artwork will be available for purchase with a 50/50 split between the artist and the Retreat. Proceeds will directly benefit the Retreat. Please enter ASAP, as the deadline is 3/12/10. All entries submitted will receive notification of selection status by the end of March. PLEASE do not contact the gallery directly.
