Przemyslaw Lasak

BIOGRAPHY

Przemyslaw Lasak was born in 1958 in Opole, Poland. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław in 1986, in the studio of Krystyna Cybińska.  He received the Rector’s Award and the Award of the Minister of Culture and Art. After graduation, he became a professor at the Academy, where he has worked since 2002.

The techniques used by Lasak are ceramics and sculpture as well as oil painting. The artist is the author of ceramic cycles consisting of life-size sculptures depicting human figures.

Lasak won the gold medal at the 47th International Competition of Artistic Ceramics in Faenza in 1991. He was also a participant of the international ceramic open-air Porcelain otherwise in Wałbrzych, painting open-air in Kamion, Szczyrk and Mikołów.
